BONES SNAPPING LIKE MATCH STICKS

The median on Ward Parkway near Gregory. There didn’t used to be trees growing anywhere except the northern and southern borders of the rectangle of turf and the neighborhood kids would play football here. I broke my left ulna severely in a football game when I was 12 about 20 yards north of where I shot this photo.
