Mysteries of the gym ?

Ok granted it's 45 degrees in KC today, but why are there 10 and 12-year-olds on treadmills/steppers/concept 2's here at the ymca?

What happened to playing outside? Do kids melt in rain now or are helicopter parents imposing their will?

I suspect the latter. Barf.
